Book Orthodontic Evidence A Q&A Handbook 1st ed. 2023 Edition

This book helps clinicians and postgraduate students to better understand the evidence in orthodontics and to use an evidence-based approach in their clinical practice. The book is written in a question and answer style, and each question is answered according to the hierarchy of evidence. At the end of each answer, an interpretation of the included systematic reviews, randomized clinical trials or other studies is summarized and critically reviewed to give a better understanding of the evidence. 

This book covers a wide range of clinical topics such as treatment of Class II and Class III malocclusion, molar distalization, impacted canines, maxillary expansion temporary anchorage devices are covered. Information is provided on root resorption, white spot lesions, and orthodontic retention. As the book is written in Q&A style, so it would helpful to find the most relevant question without going through the whole chapter.  The book includes the most asked questions about clinical orthodontics in discussions and exams and will be a great help for orthodontist to defend their seen and unseen cases in exam.

About the Author

Dr. Mheissen is an orthodontic specialist in Syria and owns a private practice. Dr. Mheissen has a special interest in orthodontic evidence. He has published many peer reviewed articles in different specialist orthodontic journals. He is an external referee for Cochrane oral health group, and he has reviewed many papers for orthodontic journals.

Dr. Khan is a Professor of orthodontics at the National University of medical sciences, CMH institute of Dentistry Lahore/ Pakistan. Dr. Khan has many peers reviewed publications in orthodontic journals and has published a book on orthodontic brackets (Orthodontic Brackets, Selection, Placement, and debonding). Dr. Khan has delivered various lectures on clinical aspects of orthodontics both locally and internationally.
